The depth of field is in photography and the ways to control depth of field is when shooting. Depth in field is when a photographer takes a picture they use to have in focus. But sometimes you can switch it up and bring more attention to the subject your taking a picture of, by making the background soft and blurry. Depth Field works by controlling and changing the aperture setting on your camera or phone , it is always a good idea to take photos in big landscapes in my opinion because you can focus on the main things in the photo.

Product shots, certain types of life images, and any shot where you need to see both foreground and background details will also benefit from deep depth of field. Every lens has a set aperture range, and some lenses can open to a wider aperture than others. Your lens should at least list its aperture range on the ring on the front of the camera to get good depth field. If you have a very fast lens, and you open it up to its largest aperture, you might have a difficult time focusing. This will make your backgrounds go too soft and make it difficult to keep the correct parts of your image in focus. Camera positions is very important for a shallow depth field . To sum it up depth field is distance that’s in focus and that catches the eye. Also , Depth of field is the distance from between the closests and fatherthest objects in a photo that appears sharp and focus.
